Description of Significance THE FIRST NATIONAL BANK IS A TWO-STORY CORNER COMMERCIAL BUILDING IN CUSTER CITY, OKLAHOMA. BUILT IN 1903, THE BANK IS ONE OF THE EARLIEST PERMANENT STRUCTURES IN CUSTER CITY. IT PROVIDED NEEDED CAPITAL FOR OTHER COMMERCIAL VENTURES IN THE AREA AND CONTINUED IN SERVICE UNTIL 1976 WHEN A NEW BANK WAS BUILT OUTSIDE OF DOWNTOWN. LISTED IN THE NATIONAL REGISTER OF HISTORIC PLACES, 3/6/1985.
